How to Know When it’s a Veterinary Emergency

Not every veterinary clinic offers emergency animal services, but at Cottage Animal Clinic, we believe in being available to our patients whenever they need us. Animals can have emergencies just like humans, and it’s scary when you don’t know where to turn to. They can’t tell you what’s going on, so you just have to trust your instincts. If you notice your pet acting differently or he or she has a visible injury or illness, call us right away. We’ll make sure we take wonderful care of your family member.

• Allergic Reactions

• Breathing Difficulties

• Continuous or Bloody Vomit or Diarrhea

If you don’t see your pet’s symptoms on this list but still know in your gut that something is wrong, listen to that instinct. You know your pet better than anyone else. Bring your pet to us, and we’ll give him or her the best possible care for your pet’s comfort and your peace of mind.
